Chad Banks
My name is Chad Banks, I live in the swampy marsh region of southeast Louisiana with my wife and our daughter. People have lovingly called me “opinionated and mouthy”, so I suppose that’s part of my impetus for joining HubPages. I’m pretty sure I’ve told all my tales, shared all my beliefs, and basically bored my friends, coworkers and wife to death. So, I’m looking forward to a tabula rasa here, a place where I can stand tall on my soap box without exasperated gestures and sighs.
I am a science teacher turned businessman, but as they say, “you can take the man out of science, but you can never take the science out of the man.” My daughter now attends the high school where I taught, so I have my ex-colleagues watching her like a hawk.
I’m a prolific reader, especially of Victorian literature, philosophy and anything written by Carl Sagan. No one’s novels make me laugh harder than David Sedaris’.
I suppose I’m a wannabe writer. I did have my own pitiful little blog for about 18 months which thrust me into the status of an inveterate writer. Now, I need to put more of an effort into refinement. Any feedback or constructive criticism is welcome and encouraged.
